Largest-Ever International IC-China Conference & Exhibition Opens Tomorrow in Chengdu – Followed by Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai
Exhibitor Count Grows 47 Percent Across Four Venues, Includes Top Semiconductor and Software Companies Analog Devices, Atmel, Fairchild, Fujitsu, Intel, Microsoft, NEC, NXP, Renesas, Samsung, Spansion, STMicroelectronics, Texas Instruments, Toshiba and Vishay CHENGDU, CHINA, Feb. 27, 2008 – Global Sources' (NASDAQ: GSOL) 13th International IC-China Conference & Exhibition (IIC-China, http://www.english.iic-china.com), opens tomorrow in Chengdu at the Chengdu Century City New International Convention and Exposition Center. The inaugural Chengdu event runs through Feb. 29 and is expected to feature over 100 booths.
In 2008, IIC-China's Chengdu, Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai line-up is set to offer mainland China's engineers over 1,400 booths and more than 400 exhibitors -- up 37 percent and 47 percent, respectively, over 2007. "IIC-China is mainland China's largest system design event," said Global Sources' Electronics Business Unit President Mark A. Saunderson. "For years, IIC-China has delivered the latest technologies to the electronics hubs around Pearl River Delta, Yangtze River Delta, Bohai region, and starting from this year, West China. "We expect to see over 30,000 design engineers on the show floors this year. The breadth, depth and scale of IIC-China continue to ensure its leadership among mainland China's industry events." Eight of the world's top 10 semiconductor and software companies are scheduled to exhibit. Exhibitors at IIC-China include: Analog Devices, Atmel, Fairchild Semiconductor, Fujitsu, Intel, Microsoft, NEC, NXP Semiconductors, Renesas Technology, Samsung, Spansion, STMicroelectronics, Texas Instruments, Toshiba Semiconductor and Vishay. IIC-China to Host Expanded Components Pavilion Building on the successful 2007 debut of the event's Components Pavilion in Shenzhen, IIC-China expects to feature a larger Components Pavilion in Shenzhen in 2008, plus two new locations in Chengdu and Shanghai. Combined, all three locations are scheduled to feature over 300 Components Pavilion booths.
